Each head (side) is tuned to a different scale. It can be played using the hands or with our specially-designed mallets. The unique design provides a hybrid sound, similar to striking a “singing bowl” or HandPan Drum, yet offers a more portable and user-friendly instrument.
Side 1 has 9 notes tuned to Solfeggio-F scale at 528 Hz - for those who follow Solfeggio Principals
Side 2 has 9 notes available in 7 different scales at 432 Hz . With D-Minor Pentatonic at 432 Hz being the most popular for massage, meditation, calming. However just because it is the most popular does not mean it is right for you that is why you now have 7 different options for side 2
Each drum is individually hand tuned to Symphonic Tuning Standards and sound tested before it is sent to its new home.

ABOUT Hz

A word about Hz: In general almost all music instruments are tuned to 440 Hz as it is the industry standard. If you are going to be playing your Vibedrum with other musical instruments (guitars, harps, flutes and such) then you should go with a scale tuned to 440Hz. However if you are going to use your Vibedrum as a personal instrument for music, meditation, healing and/or massage then you should go with the 432 Hz tuning as it is considered by many to be in-line-with our bodies natural energies and vibrations.
Environmental Impact

The Environment: All materials used to make the drums are produced and sourced in the US. So we are not contributing greenhouse gasses by shipping products in containership from Asia. With this new style of drum we have further reduced our already low carbon footprint by eliminating the welding and grinding the welds which uses a lot of energy and puts carbon dust in the air.

All of our partners are small local family owned businesses. We support small business and hope that you do as well

Although we receive offers all the time to have our drums made in Asia, we will not move our Vibedrums out of the US nor will we purchase the materials needed to make our drums from any repressive countries with military expansionist ideologies whoever they may be. Mainly because we want your Vibedrum to have a low carbon footprint and for it to start out infused with good energy.
